The Antlerless Deer Permit Lottery Application Period for Unit L opens July 8, and the Unit M application period opens July 22.
Hunters with a current New Hampshire hunting license who want the chance to take additional antlerless deer in Wildlife Management Unit L in southeastern New Hampshire during fall can apply for a permit issued through an online lottery. The application period runs from July 8 to 21. Unit L permits are available online only.
There is no application fee to enter the Unit L permit lottery. On Aug. 5 applicants will be randomly drawn and notified through email if they were selected.
Hunters selected will be able to visit the online licensing site beginning at 9 a.m. Aug. 5 to purchase the Unit L Permit. Lottery winners have until midnight Sept. 1 to purchase their permit. More details on how to apply for Unit L permits are available online.
Up to 2,000 hunters will be allowed to purchase a Special Antlerless Deer Permit for Unit L this year. Unit L permits come with 1 deer tag at a cost of $26. Hunters who enter the online lottery will be notified of their selection status by email Aug. 5. Those who do not receive an email confirmation can call (603)271-2743 for more information.
Hunters may purchase a Special Antlerless Deer Unit M permit, which is also in the southeastern part of the state, beginning July 22. Sales for Unit M permits will be available to up to 4,000 hunters at cost $36 and will come with 2 deer tags. Unit M permits may be purchased online or at Fish and Game headquarters in Concord, or by calling (603) 271-3422 to request a permit application by mail.
Interested hunters can also purchase permit applications by printing and mailing an application from the Fish and Game website.
