The President’s Outdoor Scholars Program at the University of Montevallo, Montevallo, Ala., has started sharing its special hunting and fishing trips with the rest of the world via its new YouTube series, Outdoor Scholars TV.
The second episode, released July 8, follows the Outdoor Scholars as they fish for red fish in Venice, Louisiana.
According to William Crawford, director of the Outdoor Scholars Program, this red fishing adventure has been taking place since the program started three years ago and is one of the most talked about trips each year.
Four Outdoor Scholars students, Adam Carroll, Judd Schlies, C.J. Gray and Luke Sims had the time of their lives catching these big fish, while Porter James, filmed this episode.
In addition to the Venice trip, the students talk about the growth of the University of Montevallo fishing team, which finished in the top 10 of the Cabela’s school of the year standings.
A new episode will be published to the Outdoor Scholars YouTube channel every Sunday through Sept. 2.
