As the story is told the temperature was around 16 degrees that day with a northeast wild blowing in.
I had one encounter with this book during early bow season but had received only two trail camera pictures of him up until the day I got him.
As I looked across the cornfield around 4:30 that day, I could see a bunch of deer out in the field, but I couldn’t make out which ones they were. So I climbed out of my stand and snuck to the back of the field, and he was the first one that came running to me.
I shot him at 119 yards with a .350 Legend.
