Why a Golden Rope® Scrape Can Help Year Round

There’s a lot of buzz about using scent ropes for mock scrapes to attract deer, and rightfully so. These rope scrapes are great tools for doing just that – they serve as an interaction site that deer will use to scent check other deer in the area and leave their own scent.

When the word scrape is mentioned, most hunters think about the pre-rut and rut during mid to late fall when bucks are actively scraping the ground under an overhanging or “licking” branch to leave their calling card and scent check does in the area.
