Venison Hamburger Soup

Venison Hamburger Soup

By Steve Hall

I created this recipe one day when I ran out of tomato juice. I substituted spaghetti sauce and everybody just loves it. It is so easy and quick to make that it will be the recipe you take to hunting camp every year. Try it once and you will stop giving your venison hamburger to the neighbors. Delicious venison in every bite with Venison Hamburger Soup.

Ingredients:

• 3 lbs. browned venison burger

• 1 jar spaghetti sauce

• (fill same jar with water and add to soup)

• 1 can of corn • 1 can of diced carrots

• 1 can of green beans

• 1 can peas

• (do not drain the canned veggies add the juice)

• 1 can Rotel’s Diced Tomatoes & Chilies

• 1 can diced tomatoes

• 1 large onion diced

• 1 tbl garlic powder

• 1/4 stick of butter

• salt & pepper to taste

• (start with 1 tsp. of each)

• 1 dash Tabasco Sauce (optional)

• 1 tsp sugar (optional)

• (you can also add mushrooms or potatoes)

Cooking Directions:

Just dump everything in an 8 quart cooker and bring to a simmer for 15 min. Sprinkle some cheese on top and serve with jalapenos on the side. Every time you put it in the refrigerator then re-heat it gets better! About the time it’s perfect it’s gone!
