Imperial Whitetail Destination is a new annual food-plot product designed to deliver outstanding deer attraction during early and late hunting seasons. As one of the Whitetail Institute’s certified forage researchers said, “As I saw for myself when I tested it this past hunting season, ‘Destination’ is the perfect name because deer are destined to be there!”
Destination is a precise blend of five proprietary seeds that are only available in Whitetail institute products: Whitetail Institute peas, clover, radish, kale and Whitetail Oats. All of Destination’s components establish and grow quickly and begin drawing deer right away.
The radish and kale components become sweeter with the first frost of fall and, along with the tubers they produce, continue to provide a much needed food source for deer into winter. The highly palatable food sources Destination provides both above and below ground help it withstand heavy grazing, and any tubers remaining in the spring after planting decompose, leaving spaces that improve soil tilth and add organic matter to the soil.
Destination includes the Whitetail Institute’s Rainbond seed coating to maximize seedling survivability right after germination. Rainbond contains polymers that act as a mini-reservoir by soaking up moisture from the soil and keeping it with the seed as it germinates and grows. And as the water held by Rainbond is used by the seedling, Rainbond replenishes its supply by drawing in additional moisture from the soil.
If necessary, Destination can be sprayed with the Whitetail Institute’s Arrest MAX grass herbicide after planting.
Destination is designed for planting in the late summer or early fall and is available in 9-pound bags that plant up to 1/4 acre. Destination is designed for moderately to well drained soils.
